The Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center invites faculty, students and residents interested in medical device development to a business development workshop led by Johnson & Johnson Innovation Labs. The event takes place at UMass Medical School on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. in the Faculty Conference Room.
In “Lessons in Herding Cats: Strategic Opportunities for Medical Device Companies,” members of the Johnson & Johnson Innovation JLABS Medical Device business deal-making team will teach business development skills to help aspiring biomedical entrepreneurs successfully evaluate and manage strategic alliances and other potential growth opportunities.
Topics will include:
- Strategic alliance process management
- Concepts in valuation
- Technical diligence
- Communication and negotiation skills
A networking reception will follow the workshop.
