The Lamar Soutter Library’s next featured artist will be Qiaofeng (Rose) Wang, with an exhibit called “The Beauty of New England,” which will run from Tuesday, Nov. 1, through Thursday, Dec. 29.Included in the show are portraits, still-lifes, water scenes, street and building images, and animal drawings. Wang uses several mediums to highlight different components of each piece, including watercolor, oil, ink, charcoal and pencil.
“The goal of my art is to capture our beautiful world as much as possible through vibrant color and contrasting shadow,” said Wang in her artist’s statement.
