The UMass Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center system-wide vaccination program has launched. Students, faculty and staff can get vaccinated at various sites at no cost throughout October and November. Flu shots will not be available at Employee Health Services this year.
Influenza can result in serious illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes or pneumonia. Learn more about the safety and efficacy of the flu vaccine at www.flu.gov.
UMMS supports the UMass Memorial Medical Center Influenza Immunization Policy. Those receiving flu shots will receive a yellow sticker to apply to their identification badge to indicate they have received the vaccine. Read the policy summary to learn more.
