Women’s Health Month program on April 7 presented by three UMass Medical School experts

Mara Meyer Epstein, ScD, Ann Larkin, MD, and Susan Zweizig, MD, will present “Screening for the Most Common Cancers in Women” in recognition of Women’s Health Month at UMass Medical School on Thursday, April 7. Attendees will learn about current recommended screening guidelines for breast, lung and colon cancers—the three most common cancers in women—and for cancers of the cervix, endometrium and ovaries.

Dr. Epstein, assistant professor of medicine, is a cancer epidemiologist who examines trends in mortality and cancer screening practices among cancer patients. Dr. Larkin, associate professor of surgery, specializes in oncological and breast surgery. Dr. Zweizig, professor of obstetrics & gynecology and principal investigator for the National Cancer Institute’s Gynecologic Oncology Group Institute, treats women with gynecologic cancers.

There will be time for questions from the audience following the panel discussion.
