UMass President Meehan to visit campus

Campus forum to be held on Oct. 1 in ASC Auditorium

University of Massachusetts President Martin T. Meehan will visit the UMass Medical School campus on Thursday, Oct 1, for a series of discussions with students, faculty and administrators. At 3 p.m., he will have an open campus forum for members of the university community in the Albert Sherman Center Auditorium. All members of the campus community are invited to attend.

President Meehan began his term as the 27th president of the university in July, after eight years as chancellor of UMass Lowell and 14 years in the U.S. House of Representatives. He’s the first alum of UMass to serve as president, graduating from UMass Lowell in 1978, before earning master’s and law degrees from Suffolk University.
