Members of the UMass Medical School community are invited to attend an open forum with representatives of the UMass Presidential Search Committee at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 20, in the Faculty Conference Room on the Worcester campus. The invitation was extended by search committee chair Robert J. Manning.
“One of the core principles of the search for a new president for the University of Massachusetts is the importance of gathering as much guidance and hearing as many perspectives as possible as the process unfolds,” said Manning in inviting members of the UMMS community to attend. “I want to hear your thoughts.”
The forum is an important step in the presidential search process, one that will inform the deliberations and recommendations of the search committee. All feedback gathered will be shared with the entire search committee.
“We are confident that this search process will lead to the selection of a new president who will continue the upward trajectory of the University of Massachusetts system, provide inspired leadership and expand the already significant contributions that we make to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, said Manning.
