A History of the Present Illness talk and book signing

louise-aronsonThe Humanities in Medicine Committee of the Lamar Soutter Library presents A History of the Present Illness, a talk and book signing by Louise Aronson, MD, on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 6 p.m. in the Library’s Rare Book Room. A reception will precede the talk at 5:30 p.m. Books will be available for purchase. 

Dr. Aronson (seen at right) is a geriatrician and medical educator, an associate professor of medicine at the University of California San Francisco, and the author of A History of the Present Illness, a series of stories that take readers into the lives of doctors, patients and their families, providing a portrait of health, illness, and life in America today. Aronson directs the Northern California Geriatrics Education Center, the UCSF reflective learning curriculum and UCSF Medical Humanities.
