Professor of Psychiatry Mai-Lan Rogoff, MD, served as associate dean for student affairs for the School of Medicine from 1994 to June 2013. On Friday, Nov. 15, a reception celebrating her many contributions to UMass Medical School and its educational programs will be held in the Albert Sherman Center Cube from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Dr. Rogoff is an adult and child psychiatrist with a subspecialty in developmental disabilities. Since joining UMMS as a faculty member in 1983, she has served as director of the Student Counseling Service, associate and acting training director in psychiatry, in addition to her long tenure leading the Office of Student Affairs. Rogoff has recently returned to the position of associate training director in the Department of Psychiatry, which she initially held from 1987 to 1994, and continues to be an active teacher for medical students and psychiatry residents.
The wine and cheese reception will feature a brief speaking program beginning at 5 p.m., followed by an open mike opportunity for well-wishers to share recollections and appreciation.
