The Worcester Business Journal reports students across the region are tuning in to careers in science, technology, engineering and math, thanks to the outreach efforts of UMass Medical School’s Regional Science Resource Center and the STEM Pipeline Network of Central Massachusetts.
Sandy Mayrand, director of both groups, interviewed for the paper’s Aug. 20 edition, said that local businesses have really stepped up to the challenge of working together to educate students about the career opportunities in those fields.
"The idea is to have a common conversation and then action in the region," Mayrand told WBJ.
