Newsmaker: Cellucci talks to MetroWest Daily about ALS

Former Gov. Paul Cellucci’s drive to raise precious research dollars for the UMass ALS Champion Fund was highlighted in the MetroWest Daily News. Cellucci said the fund, which supports the work of his doctor, Robert H. Brown Jr., DPhil, MD, chair and professor of neurology, is important because it allows scientists to explore promising leads faster.

 

“If there’s a spark in the lab, they can follow it immediately,” Cellucci told the paper. “I believe that’s how a cure will be found.”
