ABC News interviewed Heidi A. Tissenbaum, PhD, associate professor of molecular medicine, and an expert in the genetic mechanisms involved in aging and the signaling pathways that modulate lifespan, about the longevity of the world’s oldest twins, who recently turned 102 on Jan. 4.
In the story, Dr. Tissenbaum noted that longevity is a complex process. “Although there are many that say a positive attitude is good, as well, thus far, studies on centenarians have shown that there is not one environmental factor that stands out,” she said.
