Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship

The University of Massachusetts Medical School has one ACGME accredited fellowship position in Clinical Neurophysiology. The Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center are located in Worcester, MA. This is a one-year fellowship which provides comprehensive training in a variety of neurophysiological techniques including EMG, EEG, sleep studies, evoked potentials, intraoperative monitoring and autonomic testing.

We have busy neuromuscular and epilepsy clinics in which the fellows are involved. We also have a comprehensive epilepsy program with video EEG monitoring and epilepsy surgeries including vagus nerve stimulation.

There is ample opportunity to get involved in clinical or basic research in neurophysiology, as well as teaching. We have a state of the art clinical and research program in ALS led by Dr. Robert Brown, Chair of the Department of Neurology, in which interested fellows are encouraged to participate.

We are open to accommodating a single track interest in EEG or EMG depending on fellows’ interests.

Interested neurology residents should contact Coordinator, Lois Holmes, at or Fellowship Director, Lan Qin, MD, PhD at
