Lauren Vilchinsky

Lauren Vilchinsky, BA, Clinical Research Assistant

Lauren Vilchinsky joined our Neuro-critical care team in March 2021 after completing her B.A in Behavioral Neuroscience from Connecticut College. As an undergrad, Lauren spent time working at a non-profit residential facility, where she supported the recovery of individuals struggling with mental illness and addiction. Her passion for clinical research developed while interning with Children’s National Hospital (Washington D.C) in the Neurology Department. She is excited to be a member of the NCC Research lab at UMass and enhance the level of care for those affected by neurocritical conditions. She is the primary site coordinator for the CHARM trial and the FASTEST trial.

Lauren is responsible for screening and enrolling patients, data entry, patient follow-up, and ensuring all studies are in accordance with IRB protocols (institutional review board).

In her free time, Lauren likes to complete daily Sudoku or go for a short run.
