October's MetNet Battle for Metabolic Supremacy between mTORC1 and AMPK was one to remember. Our guest speakers, Brendan Manning and Reuben Shaw, played their parts well. They pumped up the crowd for an epic showdown.
Dave Guertin introduced them WWE style (as seen in the video above) wearing a flashy jacket. Each competitor had their own entrance music. Do Kim brought it home Gangnam style in the Q&A.
The science was outstanding, and there could not have been any other ending to the bout besides a draw. The event was so much fun that we may bring it back next season with Battle of the Heavyweights 2024...TBD.
