The UMMS IT department played host to the fourth annual UMass All Campus IT Conference on June 11th. Under the theme, “Influence and Innovation: Building Technology Together”, the conference brought together 200 attendees from the five UMass campuses; Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell, the Medical School, as well as the President’s Office, to share ideas, collaborate, and help shape the future of UMass’ IT.

The CIOs from each campus opened the conference by spotlighting the IT collaboration across the five campuses, campus specific initiatives for the year, and the impact that the University of Massachusetts system has across the commonwealth. Attendees participated in a fun, interactive trivia exercise about the five campuses before moving on to a variety of breakout sessions.

The breakout sessions spanned the breadth of work and influence that the IT departments from each campus are doing including Innovative Solutions for Commonwealth Medicine, Instructional Design, IT Professional Development, Woman and Diversity in IT, Information Security, Accessibility and Universal Design, and Video Platforms for Education.

The annual conference rotates to each campus and will be hosted by UMass-Boston in 2020.
