We added a property to control the thumbnail size when using a YouTube video allowing a higher quality image for when the block is displayed in a large space. Editors can now select from 3 sizes that YouTube creates: small (480px), medium (640px) or max (same size as uploaded video).
CMS Forms upgraded to latest version
- No new functionality, this update contains Optimizely bug fixes
UMass Chan News site redesign
https://www.umassmed.edu/news
The site has been updated for performance, ADA compliance as well as making it easier for the Office of Communications to edit the News homepage and its sub pages.
- This included enhancements to the
- Link list block – added button formatting
- Generic Listing block – added featured
Generic Listing Block
- performance enhancements
- Properties of the block moved to their appropriate tabs
- Listing Settings now contains all the properties that control the list (removed from the content tab)
- Ability to set the title as an H1 tag, H2 tag or H3 tag
- The default is H3
- This was added to help with both SEO and ADA compliance
- HTML heading tags help search engines as well as the viewer understand the importance and structure of content on the page. The heading tags should follow the order of H1 as the main heading, followed by use of subheadings of an H2and then H3’s.
- Search engines and screen reading devices cannot identify a heading based on bold, larger font size, etc, the text must be set as a heading tag. For those using a screen reader to “view” a page, they can easily tab through headings helping them scan the page for the content they wish to read.
- ability to create a list with a "featured" item, this is an advanced feature (as seen on the News homepage)
- note: this is currently an advanced feature as we work to refine it, once refined, we will open it to all editors.

- Color of the buttons
- And how the buttons are arranged:
- Grid, set the number of columns
