Announcement regarding Covid-19 and CME Certification Courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS)

The UMMS OCME has decided to cancel all in-person classes until future notice. This decision was made with an abundance of caution and after significant deliberation, keeping your well being in mind.

  • The American Heart Association has granted a 120 day grace period (subject to extension) for BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications that expired in March 2020.
  • The American College of Surgeons has extended the ATLS grace period to 1 year.
  • The UMMHC Credentialing Office has notified our office they will remove requirements for updated life support course documentation until further notice.

Over the next several weeks, we will continue to monitor the CDC and institutional directives on hosting educational activities. We are working to provide optional solutions to in-person training and will update you with our progress and opportunities.

If you paid for a course and would like a full refund please write an email to, include your name, course and request a refund.

If you would like to transfer your registration to a future date, please e-mail, include your name, course you registered for and indicate you would like to transfer to a future course. We will be releasing future dates in the near future, please bear with us as we assess our options.
