Steering Committee

Shuwen Cao

Shuwen Cao, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Neurology

My research is on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. I believe that eClub will provide a great platform for networking, inspiring entrepreneurial ideas, and bringing great discoveries from bench to bedside through commercialization.

Kailai Duan

Kailai Duan, PhD
Sr. Research Scientist

My work focuses on ion channel and intracellular calcium activity. I joined eClub to explore my career opportunities.

Socheata Ly

Socheata "Soki" Ly
Ph.D. Candidate, RNA Therapeutics Institute and Translational Science Program

I am working on defining the trafficking pathways utilized by different classes of therapeutic oligonucleotides using high resolution microscopy and quantitative mass spectrometry. I joined the eClub because I am interested in using my research to develop and commercialize RNAi-based drugs.

Regino Mercado-Lubo

Regino Mercado-Lubo, MD
Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Microbiology and Physiological Systems

My research is focused on the modulatory effects of Salmonella enterica serovar typhimurium on the plasma membrane multidrug resistance protein P-glycoprotein (P-gp). This work will create the foundation for a new therapeutic option for cancer patients in which neoplastic cells have developed resistance to chemotherapeutics drugs. I joined the eClub to learn more about development and commercialization of new therapies.

Kaycee Quarles

Kaycee Quarles, PhD
Postdoctoral Fellow, RNA Therapeutics Institute

I am a postdoc studying environmental RNA interference in insects, which should prove useful in rounding out my scientific training in chemical engineering and biochemistry. I joined eClub to see how I may be able to use my training in various scientific backgrounds to contribute to new and/or established companies.

Yu-Huan Shih, PhD

Postdoctoral Research Associate, Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology

I focus on zebrafish disease modeling in cardiovascular system and high content screening for small molecule drugs. This club can offer me a different perspective on science research and expand my career path
