Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

You were hired based on the combination of your past work – and the confidence you inspired in your hiring manager that you will contribute the UMMS mission.  Yet, from time to time even the most engaged and productive employee can become troubled by personal challenges.  The purpose of the Employee Assistance Program is to empathetically respond to this reality, and offer you the free, confidential support you may need to manage challenging issues, thus enabling your continued success at work.  Employees reach out to the EAP for a variety of reasons, but common issues include:

Clinical Issues

  • Alcohol & Substance Abuse/Addiction
  • Tobacco Cessation Program
  • Emotional and Mental Health
  • Domestic Violence
  • Stress Reduction
  • Families and Parenting
  • Divorce, Loss, Grief
  • Suicide and Self-Injury
  • Health and Wellness

Non-Clinical Issues

  • Financial Resources
  • Legal Resources
  • Consumer Resources
  • Veteran's Issues
  • Child Care
  • Elder Care

Free, confidential, empathetic support is available.
