Tuition benefits are available through tuition assistance, tuition remission and tuition waiver to eligible employees.

Tuition assistance is available for full-time, benefited employees who wish to take classes related to their present position and provides a reimbursement of a portion of the tuition cost.

Tuition remission and tuition waiver is available for employees, their spouse, and dependent children up to age 25. Tuition remission can be used at MA state and community colleges and state universities. The tuition waiver benefits can be used at the 5 UMass campuses and UMass online.

Graduate courses for spouse and/or dependent children are taxable to the employee.
