Our Hematologic Oncology Program provides advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care for patients with malignant hematologic disorders. In keeping with the latest advances in cancer research, our specialists make promising new treatments and participation in the latest clinical trials available to patients with cancers of the blood and blood-producing organs.
Every patient is ensured of optimal care through our multidisciplinary approach to evaluation and treatment, and our wide array of support services, including specialized nursing and social work, nutritional counseling, home care coordination and an active volunteer program.
- Treatment of hematologic malignancies including leukemias, lymphomas, Hodgkin's disease, multiple myeloma, myelodysplasia, as well as nonmalignant hematologic disorders
- Use of investigational drugs and therapies through participation in national clinical trials for hematologic malignancies
- A dedicated nine-bed unit specializing in the care of patients who are undergoing blood and marrow transplantation
Our multidisciplinary team consists of hematologists/oncologists, medical and radiation oncologists, specially trained nurses and nurse practitioners, bone marrow transplantation specialists, nutritionists and social workers all dedicated to providing the highest level of clinical and compassionate care to patients. Through our laboratory and clinical research, we are continually striving to provide the most innovative, effective and safe therapies to ensure the best possible treatment and optimum outcome for each patient.
