Call for Papers

Research in Nursing & Health is pleased to announce a special issue in December 2020 on telehealth/mHealth. Guest editors Kathryn H. Bowles, PhD, RN, FAAN, FACMI, Professor of Nursing and van Ameringen Chair in Nursing Excellence at the University of Pennsylvania, and Melissa O'Connor, PhD, MBA, RN, FGSA, Associate Professor and Distinguished Educator in Gerontological Nursing at Villanova University, invite papers addressing topics related to Telehealth/mHealth. Telehealth includes the provision of health services, decision support, and information, such as reminders, education, monitoring, and interventions, by telecommunication technologies. mHealth or mobile health is defined by the World Health Organization (2011) as medical and public health practice supported by mobile devices, such as mobile phones, patient monitoring devices, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and other wireless devices.
