kedeshia malin.pngAt the GSN our mission is to prepare practice-focused and research-focused doctorally prepared nurses and leaders to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for the Commonwealth and beyond. Through partnerships with multi-cultural communities and clinical organizations; research, practice, service and education are integrated to advance nursing knowledge, science and competencies to provide exemplary health care for all. Our faculty and staff stand by this mission and our students to ensure their success and advancement in their professional careers. Don’t take our word for it, take our student’s word for it! We asked our student Kedeshia Malin, who is currently enrolled in our Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program, how the UMass Graduate School of Nursing has impacted her as a student and a professional.

“The UMass Graduate School of Nursing prepares me to be successful as a Doctorally-prepared Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.  I have enjoyed the on-campus environment as it gives me the opportunity to connect and interact with faculty/staff as they have genuinely invested in my growth as a leader. I recommend this program to my nursing colleagues who are interested in becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse as we have the advantage of being a part of the academic health science center (UMass Memorial Medical Center); having access to invaluable resources.” – Kedeshia Malin BSN, RN Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Student, BSN-DNP Year 2
