Advanced Generalist Registered Nurse (AGRN)

The GEP to AGRN program is designed for individuals who hold a minimum of a BA or BS in a non-nursing major and whose career and educational goals include nursing at the Master’s level. Students are eligible after the pre-licensure year (1st year of study) to sit for the NCLEX examination for RN licensure, followed by three additional semesters of course work. Graduates of this program are Master’s prepared RNs who are educated for various healthcare career opportunities including leadership, practice, and education across multiple health settings and populations. This program is differentiated from other similar programs, because of its combined administrative and community-based population health foci. The program flexibility allows students to take additional elective if interested in a specialty.

The Graduate School of Nursing (GSN) also offers Doctoral degrees, as well as Post Graduate Certificates to create a seamless   transition to further educational opportunities for changing educational goals.
