Admission Criteria

NursingCAS application process for admission cycle 2021 opens August 31, 2020. 

BSN to DNP, PGO to DNP and the Post Master's to  DNP. Applicants must submit a completed application to Nursing CAS by the deadline date to be considered for admission.  Application status emails will be sent to the email provided on the application via Nursing CAS.

Admission Criteria BSN to DNP Track

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Evidence of unrestricted Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse
  • Undergraduate GPA 3.0 or higher
  • CPR Certification for Health Providers (BLS) by the American Heart Association
  • Completed Application by deadline date
  • GRE's are not required

Admission Criteria for Pre-Graduate Option (PGO) to DNP

  • Associate's degree or diploma in nursing and a bachelor's degree or higher in another non- nursing discipline
  • Evidence of unrestricted Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse
  • Undergraduate GPA 3.0 or higher
  • CPR Certification for Health Providers (BLS) by the American Heart Association
  • Completed Application by deadline date
  • GRE's are not required

Admission Criteria Post Master's DNP Track

  • A Master’s degree in nursing and certified as NPs, CNSs, CRNAs, or CNMs or hold a Master’s degree in nursing or a health related field for nurse administrators.
  • Master's Degree in non -nursing field is acceptable for Applying Nurse Administrators (must have bachelor's of science in nursing degree)
  • Evidence of unrestricted Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse
  • Undergraduate GPA 3.0 or higher
  • CPR Certification for Health Providers (BLS) by the American Heart Association
  • Completed Application by deadline date

Requirements for Admission BSN to DNP, PGO to DNP and Post Masters DNP Track

  • Completed Application submitted to Nursing CAS refer to Nursing CAS instructions for admission requirements.
  • Complete Graduate School of Nursing checklist, submit directly to the Graduate School of Nursing.

  • A notarized proof of residency (all applicants, both Massachusetts Residents and non-residents, must submit) (PRINT FORM)
