UMass Worcester practice-focused graduates manage care as a member of an interprofessional team providing preventive and population-based health care in institutions and communities. As advanced practice nurses, they provide clinical leadership within the context of social, economic, political, legal, cultural and ethical forces that affect health care delivery, health policy and professional nursing practice. Doctorally-prepared nurse graduates contribute to the scholarly advancement of the nursing profession through education, research and clinical practice. Graduates embrace life-long learning through participation and leadership in professional development.

Graduate Entry Pathway is an alternate pathway into the Doctor of Nursing Practice, and PhD in Nursing programs for applicants who have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing, who are not registered nurses. Track options include Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) NP tracks, or a PhD in Nursing.  Read more
