The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences (GSBS) at the University of Massachusetts Medical School is a faculty-initiated and faculty-organized school with a mission to train the next generation of science leaders, teachers and advocates.
The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences has concluded that six areas of expertise are central to successful doctoral training and integrates these learning objectives into its curriculum and research training programs.
The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences offers many opportunities for students potentially interested in careers in healthcare and biomedical research. Programs for middle school and high school students provide exposure to these fields. Programs for college students enhance readiness for success in graduate school, medical school and other health sciences-related professional schools.
Whether your interest lie in discovery of fundamental principles underlying biology, the translation of these discoveries into therapies that improve lives, or in understanding and innovating health care delivery, you will find research opportunities with our distinguished faculty, that will inspire you to excel.
