About UMass Worcester: During my residency search I stumbled across UMass Worcester. I was struck by the wonderful balance between a University training program and a rural community continuity site. I stayed because I knew I would never be able to find the breadth, diversity, and strength of a Family Medicine Department elsewhere. UMass is a unique place to be as a family medicine physician in New England and I LOVE IT!
Personal Facts: I have four incredible children with diverse interests, from ballet to cattle shows and a whole lot of sports in between! I love marathon running as well.

About UMass: My academic interests in curriculum development, learning theory, the science of education, and resident & medical student learning made UMass the perfect fit for me because our family medicine program places an emphasis on a high-quality rigorous well-rounded training perfectly balanced with learner support & wellbeing.
Personal Facts:
I grew up in a suburb outside of Worcester and then went to the College of the Holy Cross right in Worcester. When I came back to Worcester for residency after leaving for four years to go to medical school in Boston, it felt like I was coming back home and it just made sense that I continued my career here after residency. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. We like being outdoors walking trails and hiking. We also love to travel and explore museums.

"I have been with UMass for 16 years. I have worked my entire career with 3rd and 4th year medical students in some capacity or other. I have lived in the Worcester area for 30+ years so I consider myself at home here. When I am not working, I dedicate all my time to my family, friends and my passion for photography. I am an animal lover and a big baseball fan. I love to experience other cultures and travel."
