Gabriel returned to his alma mater, CEITC Masaryk University, after 5 years as a postdoctoral researcher with Andrei Korostelev in the RTI at the UMass Chan Medical School. His main fields of research interest are bacterial infection, translation control, and RNA biology.
Gabriel plans to establish an interdisciplinary research team that will focus on analysing the molecular details of the coupled transcriptional-translational apparatus in bacteria and virus-infected cells.
