Two UMass mammography sites receive ACR accreditation

In 2015, two Mammography sites passed the ACR accreditation: Hahnemann Mammography in April 2015 and Memorial Mammography in July 2015. We also passed three state inspections, Access Mammography in January 2015, Memorial Mammography in June 2015 and Hahnemann Mammography in July 2015. Each one of these inspections takes numerous hours to prepare for and is detrimental to the continuation of our services. The supervisor, Ginny Rollins, not only handles the day to day operations for all 4 sites, but she also works on the floor with patients. To pass all these inspections in such a short time frame and maintain the daily operations of our successful Mammography department is no small feat. Both Ginny and Marcia have put in numerous hours to ensure the success of our inspections while maintaining all their other responsibilities. I am proud to be part of their team and wanted them to get to the recognition they deserve, as well as let them know how much we appreciate them.
