Michele Foley New Lead Diagnostic Tech - Memorial
Marcia Amaral recently announced "It is my pleasure to announce that Michele Foley has accepted the position of Lead Diagnostic Tech at Memorial. Michele has been the acting Lead since the end of January and has proven to be an effective leader and role model. Her efforts over the past two months and the staffs support allowed me to make this decision with confidence. Michele’s focus has always been the patient and image quality and I have no doubt she will continue to raise the bar for staff to follow.
Michele will stay involved in her present position as Clinical Coordinator through July so she can see the students she has had through to the end of their rotation."
Michele's Journey
My journey to be where I am today has been great! I graduated from QCC in 2005. My 2nd year rotation was at Memorial and I didn’t want to leave. Marcia hired me full time and I was a Staff Technologist for 4 years. I was looking for more responsibility and always had an interest in Teaching, the opportunity arose in 2009 and I jumped at it. I wanted to share my knowledge and love for this profession with the QCC students. I was the Clinical Instructor/ Department Educator for 9 years. The Lead Tech position was something I knew I could do and when the opportunity came up I rose to the occasion. I have a great relationship with the staff and my number one quality is communication. Over the past 13 years I have always taken pride in my Students and I hold them to a high standard. I hold a high standard for myself and I expect the same from the Staff Technologists. I am truly honored to have this Title.
