Uniform Core Clinical Experiences Approach to Retesting and Remediation

Fail Clinical

• Automatic rotation failure
• CAA remediation required
• Must repeat component of rotation

Fail OSCE

• CAA or Clerkship Director Appointment for review– must be done before retake
• Repeat - if pass 2nd attempt no further action
• If Fail 2nd attempt Mandatory remediation with CAA

o Reschedule when CAA determines readiness

• If Fail 3rd attempt fail rotation – must repeat component of the rotation

Fail Written Exam

• CAA or Clerkship Director Appointment or for review – must be done before retake
• Repeat – if pass 2nd attempt no further action
