Application Specifics
The UMass Chan Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Residency is a five-year ACGME approved training program.
Required documents include:
- Completed Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) Application
- USMLE Transcript (first-time pass is required)
- MSPE – Medical Student Performance Evaluation
- Applicants must also have passed USMLE Step II (CS and CK) before starting residency, as it is a requirement for Massachusetts licensure.
- Medical School Transcript
- Personal Statement
- Photograph
- ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
- Citizenship/Visa Status
- 3 Letters of Recommendation
All required documents must be submitted through ERAS and will not be accepted outside of ERAS.
The institution accepts a standardized personal statement but suggests that applicants consider discussing attributes that will help foster the applicant's competence and resilience.
Interview Dates: Dates will be updated when 2025 ERAS season begins in June 2024.
