For a two-week period beginning Monday, Oct. 28, at 7 a.m., construction crews will be removing the existing asphalt on First and Second Roads (on either side of the quad—see map below) and replacing it with new asphalt. During this period, the vehicle exit from the West Garage onto First Road will be closed. Vehicle entrance and exit to the West Garage will be exclusively from South Road.
The sidewalk on Second Road will remain open during construction. The West Hospital entrance will remain open except for paving days (currently scheduled for Nov. 6 and Nov. 7). Pedestrians on First Road can use the sidewalk along the quad.
Construction vehicles will use Second Road to enter the work site and First Road to exit the work site.
Public Safety details will be in place each day to assist with pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
