Katherine Luzuriaga, MD, associate provost of Global Health, professor of medicine and pediatrics, talked to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette’s Karen Nugent about the new $7.2 million grant to establish medical education programs at the University of Liberia. The article, appearing in today’s business section, reports on the project by UMass Medical School, Indiana University and the University of Liberia to create the Center for Excellence in Health and Life Sciences in Liberia, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development through Higher Education for Development.
