Academic/Clinical Interests

My research interests include neonatal nutrition primarily breast milk and its bioactive components such as secretory IgA and the microbiome as well as improving neonatal nutrition post discharge and the effects on neurodevelopmental outcomes.

As associate fellowship program director I look forward to working with and training neonatal fellows to be better prepared for meeting their career goals in neonatology.

Academic/Clinical Interests

My research interests include investigating the effects of phototherapy on preterm infants and developing guidelines for management of hyperbilirubinemia in preterm infants.

As director of neonatal outreach I’m also experienced and interested in research in projects related to transport physiology, noise and vibration reduction, thermoregulation, team management and response time, NRP and resuscitation skills, the use of telemedicine and QI projects.
