Putting our patients at the center of all we do

The Department of Medicine's clinical services combines specialized state-of-the-art technology with compassionate patient-centered care. Our clinical services continue to excel in quality measures and outcomes as national leaders in Critical Care Medicine and in Cardiovascular Medicine. In addition, the Department of Medicine has Centers of Excellence in Heart and Vascular Care and Diabetes. These Centers provide a coordinated and collaborative patient care plan with multiple sub-specialists.

The Department of Medicine is actively developing community outreach programs for member hospitals and affiliated hospitals to meet patient care needs. Many faculty within the Department of Medicine also participate in the education of medical students and residents within the clinical system.
