John Solomonides, MD - Program Director
John has been with the UMass Chan Med/Peds residency program since 1998. He joined the University of Massachusetts after completing his Med/Peds training at Baystate Medical Center and is a graduate of Tufts University and the UMass Chan Medical School. As a member of both the pediatric and internal medicine faculty practices at the University campus, he serves as inpatient teaching attending in both departments and has been awarded Teacher of the Year.

Susan Fine, MD – Assistant Program Director 
Susan was born and raised outside of Boston.  After completing her undergraduate degree at Duke University, she returned home to attend UMass Chan Medical School.  She completed her Med/Peds residency training at Brown University in 2009, and again returned to UMass, this time as faculty.  Since her return, she has served as Assistant Program Director of our med/peds program.  She also precepts residents and students in the Westborough Med/Peds clinic.

Christine Bielick, MD  Division Chief
Chris received her BS in Biology from the University of Wisconsin.  She attended Tufts University Medical School, and completed her Med/Peds Residency at UMass Chan in 2013.  She joined the faculty after completing her Adult Critical Care / Pulmonary fellowship at UMass Chan in 2016. In addition to practicing adult critical care and pulmonary medicine, she has a transitional care pulmonary clinic where her interest is in caring for adults with cystic fibrosis, as well as young adults with chronic lung disease.
