MCCB Diversity

The MCCB department is committed to providing a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment. We strive to educate ourselves about systemic issues and to develop an inclusive community that opposes discrimination in all forms. Our actions are focused on tackling current challenges in pro-active and substantial ways.

The MCCB department is working on following ongoing concrete goals: 

• Recruiting, retaining, and advancing students, postdocs, staff, and faculty from historically underrepresented backgrounds within our department.
  
  
• Fostering dynamic communities and spaces for individuals to learn and reflect.
  
  
• Supporting our diverse community through seminars, a book club, and social meet & greet events.
  
  
• Encouraging participation in and collaboration with other campus-wide and community initiatives.
