Sarda

Dr. Garima Sarda calls New Jersey her childhood home, although she has lived in numerous different places across the US and India. She did her schooling in the Midwest with her undergraduate education at Case Western Reserve University and medical school at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science before returning to the east coast for residency and fellowship. She completed a pediatrics residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA followed by a pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA. To pursue different angles of her interests, she also completed a MS in Healthcare Administration and a Masters in Public Health.

Garima is currently a pediatric emergency physician at UMass Chan and has a strong interest in medical education across all levels of trainees. She is the section leader for Hospital Sessions in the Early Clinical Learning curriculum as a part of VISTA as well as a Learning Community Mentor, which allow her to work closely with early medical trainees. She is involved with the clinical education of residents across pediatrics, emergency medicine as well as family medicine residencies. She is especially interested in medical education through simulation and is currently the simulation director for the pediatric emergency medicine fellowship.

Garima lives in Needham, MA with her husband and 2 young daughters. When not occupied by her kids, she enjoys running, yoga, and spending way too long baking and designing cakes.
