Daniel Mullin, PsyD, MPH
Fellowship Director
Dr. Mullin directs the fellowship in Primary Care Psychology and Medical Education. He has worked with fellows since joining the department in 2008. Dr. Mullin provides weekly supervision to the fellows and mentors their development as junior faculty members. He assists fellows in setting their own learning goals and directs the evaluation of fellow’s work.
In addition to directing the fellowship Dr. Mullin is also the Director for the Center for Integrated Primary Care. He also serves as a Senior Scientist with the American Academy of Family Physicians’ National Research Network. In recent years his work has focused on expanding primary care access to treatment for Opioid Use Disorder. He maintains a clinical practice embedded in the Barre Family Health Center, a rural family medicine residency practice in Massachusetts. Dr. Mullin is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and provides training in Motivational Interviewing to healthcare providers.
Dr. Mullin completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky and received his Masters in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He completed his internship in Primary Care Psychology in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and his fellowship in Primary Care Family Psychology in the Departments of Medicine, Psychiatry, and Family Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

Jeanna Lee, PhD
Site Supervisor - Hahnemann Family Health Center
Dr. Lee is the site supervisor for fellows at the Hahnemann Family Health Center. She provides weekly clinical supervision and directs the fellow’s activity in the health center. She and the fellow co-teach family medicine residents in regular didactics, team precepting, and through the collaborative care of Hahnemann Family Health Center patients.
In addition to supervising fellows, Dr. Lee provides patient care at the Hahnemann Family Health Center, an urban primary care practice in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Family Medicine and Community Health and Psychiatry at UMass Chan Medical School.
Dr. Lee’s clinical interests include rapid diagnostic assessment, motivational Interviewing, health behavior change, neuroplasticity, self-compassion, chronic pain management, weight loss, lifespan development, family systems, trauma-informed care, culturally-informed care. She is also interested in the education and training of medical and psychology trainees.
Dr. Lee received her PhD in clinical psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology at Palo Alto University. She completed her internship at the Colorado West Regional Mental Health Center in Grand Junction Colorado and her Post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology in Primary Care in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Chan Medical School.

Elizabeth Dykhouse, PhD
Director of Behavioral Science, Worcester Family Medicine Residency and Site Supervisor - Barre Family Health Center
Dr. Dykhouse is the site supervisor for fellows at the Barre Family Health Center. She provides weekly clinical supervision and directs the fellow’s activity in the health center. She and the fellow co-teach family medicine residents in regular didactics, team precepting, and through the collaborative care of Barre Family Health Center patients.
In addition to supervising fellows, Dr. Dykhouse is the Director of Behavioral Science for the Worcester Family Medicine Residency at UMass Chan Medical School. She provides patient care at the Barre Family Health Center, a rural primary care practice in central Massachusetts. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Chan Medical School. Her background is in primary care psychology and health psychology. Dr. Dykhouse is particularly interested in the provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate care and has experience working with interpreters as well as practicing directly in Spanish.
Dr. Dykhouse received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Seattle Pacific University. She completed her predoctoral internship with Ola Lahui Rural Behavioral Health with placements in Honolulu and Hilo, Hawaii and her postdoctoral fellowship with Salud Family Health Centers in Denver, Colorado.

Amber Cahill, PsyD
Director of Behavioral Science - Fitchburg Family Medicine Residency
Dr. Cahill serves as an Advisor to fellows. Dr. Cahill meets individually with each fellow three times per year to assist fellows in clarifying their career goals, advising on post-fellowship employment, maintaining work-life balance, and coaching fellows to advocate for their own professional needs. At the request of the fellow, the Advisor may advocate for the fellow to address unmet needs with the fellowship director and/or site supervisors. Conversations between the fellow and the Advisor are intended to be private, safe, and supportive.
Dr. Cahill completed the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Health Psychology in Primary Care at UMass Chan Medical School. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Adler University in Chicago, Illinois, with a concentration in Primary Care Psychology. In addition to providing clinical care at the Fitchburg Family Practice, Dr. Cahill’s professional interests and experiences have had a growing focus in medical education, at both the undergraduate and residency level, training primary care teams in collaborative, team-based care, and improving how education is delivered in primary care.

Shahida Fareed, PsyD
Site Supervisor - Fitchburg Family Practice
Dr. Fareed is a Clinical Psychologist and the director of behavioral health for the department of family medicine and community health. She earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Adler University, Chicago and completed her internship at the University of Rochester Medical Center in primary care, ambulatory outpatient clinics, and at a state inpatient psychiatric facility. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Internal Medicine and has been working as primary care psychologist for past few years. Along with treating individuals with depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders, her clinical interests include working with individuals living with chronic illnesses, sleep disorders, psychosomatic illnesses, health behavior change, and provider wellness.
In addition to her Doctorate in Psychology Dr. Fareed earned a Master’s in Public Health from Oklahoma University. She also received her Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) with an emphasis in Family Medicine from Karachi University, Pakistan. Outside of her professional life she likes to paint, cook, travel and read books.

Allison Hargreaves, MD
Dr. Hargreaves directs all of the educational activities at the Barre Family Health Center. This includes the health center’s Family Medicine Residents as well as the Psychology Fellows. She also oversees the education of students in medicine, nursing, physician assistants, clinical psychology, and social work. Fellows frequently participate in educational activities alongside Dr. Hargreaves including team precepting and didactics.
Dr. Hagreaves received her MD from UMass Chan Medical School and completed her Family Medicine Residency in the Worcester Family Medicine Residency. She has clinical interests in the care of older adults and in maternal/child health. She is the Medical Director of the Holden Nursing home in central Massachusetts.

Kathleen Barry, MD
Dr. Barry directs all of the educational activities at the Hahnemann Family Health Center. This includes the health center’s Family Medicine Residents as well as the Psychology Fellows. She also oversees the education of students in medicine, nursing, clinical psychology, and pharmacy. Fellows frequently participate in educational activities alongside Dr. Barry including team precepting and didactics.
Dr. Barry received her MD from UMass Chan Medical School and completed her Family Medicine Residency in the University of Virginia Family Medicine Residency. She has clinical interests in evidence-based medicine, preventive medicine, well-woman and well-child care.
