What's New?

Cytek Aurora CS

The Cytek Aurora CS system offers researchers Full Spectrum Profiling enabling high-dimensional cell sorting. The sorter is configured with 5 lasers and 64 fluorescence detectors and offers up to 6-way sorting. High-speed sorting with multiple nozzle sizes (70, 85, 100 and 130 um nozzles) and multiple collection tube sizes (1.5 mL, 5mL and 15mL tubes). High throughput capability with sorting into 96- or 384-well plates with the option to perform index sorting. The Aurora CS system shares the same optical system as our Cytek Aurora analyzers allowing for easy transfer of experiments from the analyzer to the sorter without panel modification.

BD Symphony A5

BD Symphony configuration

The BD FACSymphony™ A5 flow cytometer is a 5-laser benchtop instrument with the ability to acquire up to 30 parameters. It uses fixed-alignment lasers that transmit light through a flow cell to cascade detector arrays. The Symphony has room to grow, as it is upgradeable with up to 7 lasers and up to 50 parameters.

Using the familiar Diva software, the Symphony has a very close similarity to the control features of the BD Celesta. This analyzer is available for self-use for investigators who have completed the training session described on our training page.

BioRad ZE5 Analyzer

BioRad ZE5 Fluorochrome Selection Guide

The ZE5 is a full-featured analyzer with 5 lasers and 30 detectors including dual FCS for simple to complex flow panels. Features include multiple sample formats (5-ml, eppendorfs, and standard or deep-well microplates), chilled sample holder, operational flow rates of 0.025–3.5 μl/sec, up to 100,000 events per second with all parameters enabled, <0.2 μm FSC resolution with small-particle detection module.

The BioRad ZE5 is located in LRB 357 for self-use analysis. Training is avalilable through the Flow Core.

Sony Core MA900 Cell Sorter (BSL-2+/BSC) AND BSL-3 405/488/531/633 (Paired Co-Linear lasers)

Sony MA900 BSL-2+ and BSL-3 with BSC Lasers/Filters

The Sony MA900 cell sorter is contained in it's own Baker BSC. One is housed in our BSL-2+ room in the flow cytometry core's main lab. A second identical MA900 is housed in the BT2 BSL-3 lab. The MA900 is configured with 4 lasers with 12 parameters, currently utilizing 70µ and 100µ disposable sorting chips and capable of 4-way and plate sorting. Please keep in mind that the lasers on the Sony are paired co-linear and fluorescence overlap cannot be separated within each pair (please see the configuration page). This sorter is available for self-sorting for investigators who have completed the training session described on our training page.
