CIRTification

CIRTification Online Course

Human Research Protections Training

All persons that work on research projects must complete human research protections training. If you are a UMass Medical School faculty or staff member or student, you are required to take specific courses offered by the CITI program.

The UMMS IRB will accept completion of the CIRTification program as an alternative to the CITI Program for community members who collaborate on UMMS research projects.

What is CIRTification Online?

  • a web-based program
  • tailored for community research partners.
  • designed as an alternative to the CITI training program
  • focuses on the unique roles and responsibilities of community partners in health research projects.
