Early Decision

A strong applicant who is interested in applying only to the T.H. Chan School of Medicine may wish to submit an Early Decision application. An applicant who does not receive an offer of acceptance through Early Decision will automatically be considered with the general pool of candidates for possible acceptance at a later date.

Early Decision applications must be received by AMCAS by August 1 and complete in the Office of Admissions by September 1 of the year prior to matriculation. For the class entering in 2024, the early decision deadline is September 1, 2023.

MCAT results must be received by the Office of Admissions by September 1 to be considered for Early Decision. For the class entering in 2024, MCAT scores must be received by the early decision deadline, which is September 1, 2023. Applicants should schedule their MCAT exams in time for results to be received by our office by the deadline. Applicants must also list the last date that they will be taking the MCAT exam on the AMCAS application; additional MCAT results will be accepted for early decision applicants not selected for Early Decision.

Final decisions regarding Early Decision acceptance will be made by October 1*.

*October 1st or next business day if 10/1 falls on a weekend or holiday.
