DEPRESCRIBING AND PALLIATIVE CARE

The Deprescribing and Palliative Care workgroup, led by Dr. Jennifer Tjia, conducts studies to examine patterns of medication use for patients approaching the end of life. In particular, the faculty and students in this workgroup conduct pharmacoepidemiology studies of trajectories of symptom burden and medication use in in older adults eligible for palliative and hospice care, and conduct intervention studies to promote goal-directed deprescribing for these patients.
