RESCHEDULED for April 4, 2018 7PM- 9PM Old Medical School Lobby

Come join us in our celebration of Nowruz at UMass. The Interfaith Employee Resource Group is sponsoring this event to bring attention to the various faiths and observances of the cultures represented by our caregivers here at UMass Memorial Healthcare and UMass Medical School campuses. Nowruz is a holiday celebrated in many countries of the world, heralding the beginning to Spring! Nowruz, originated in Persia and is from the Zoroastrian faith.

This event includes traditional snacks, a live band, poetry from Hafiz, and a short presentation of the seven ‘S’ of Haft Seen as it is said in Persian.

Please join us and get to know more about this joyful holiday! This event is held in the evening to allow second and third shift participation as well as to mark the traditional beginning time of the observance.
