Patti has worked for over 30 years in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation as an individual practitioner, non-profit agency leader, policy maker as an Assistant Director for the New Jersey Division of Mental Health, and educator as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Behavioral Healthcare at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She has had a daily meditation practice for over 30 years, and has studied meditation in ashrams in the United States and India. She has taught meditation and facilitated day long meditation retreats for 15 years. Teaching MBSR allows her to combine her love for and commitment to contemplative practices with her professional experience.
