Immuno Scanning Electron Microscopy

Two channel colorized gold immuno-labeled neutrophil next to two macrophages (no label present).

The cells were placed on poly-lysine covered cover slips, lightly fixed with paraformaldehyde, incubated with a primary antibody specific for neutrophils, followed by a gold conjugated secondary antibody.  The cells were then hard fix with glutaraldehyde, dehydrated, critical point dried, carbon coated and imaged using both backscattered electrons (blue channel) and secondary electrons (sepia channel) using our Quanta 200 SEM at high vacuum.
