How do I become a 500 Club Member?
When you personally raise $500 dollars on or before event day, you will become a member of our 500 Club! What does that mean? You will be invited to attend our exclusive Thank You Reception will include exclusive tours of a cancer research lab, so you can see first-hand the impact your efforts have on the work being achieved. You will also receive a 500 Club Member Gift.
Where do I turn in donations the day of the event?
You may bring all donations to the Registration Tent on Walk day. Please clearly write your name and your team name on the envelope that contains your donations to assure your fundraising dollars are properly credited to you and your team. If you're not turning in registration fees or donations, you do not need to go to the registration tent. Simply enjoy everything happening on the quad.
When and where does the Survivor Lap take place?
To take part in our Survivor Lap we ask you to gather by the stage area by 9:30 am where we will hand out pompoms and noise makers to help you be loud and proud as you take a celebratory lap! At approximately 9:40 a.m. the Survivor Lap will depart and be led by your doctors, nurses and Cancer Center staff! This is a half loop around the quad ending right where the Walk will begin at 10 a.m.
What time does the run begin?
Run Registration: 7 to 7:40 a.m.
Registration fee: $30 in advance (2019 is TBD) - $40 day of event.
Run Start: 8 a.m.
What time does the 1-mile and 5-mile walk begin?
Registration: 8 to 10 a.m.
Registration fee: $10
Walk Start: 10 a.m.
How long is our run?
Our run is approximately 3.5 miles long. This is slightly longer than a 5K run, which is 3.1 miles long.
I have pre-registered for the run, where do I pick up my bib?
You may pick up your bib at Marathon Sports, Shrewsbury (2019 date TBD). Or on the day of the event you can pick up your bib at the registration tent.
Is parking available on UMass Medical School Campus?
Are there water stops along the route?
Yes. Our run has two water stops. Our 1-mile walk route has one water stop. Our 5 mile walk route has three water stops.
Are there restrooms?
Yes. Portable restrooms are available on campus, along the run, 1 mile route and at the three water stops along the 5-mile walk route.
