BMP’s Cynthia Fuhrmann facilitates enhancing the career development of PhD students

UMass Medical School was selected as one of two innovators in graduate education to be featured on a webinar hosted by the National Academy of Sciences, American Association of Medical Colleges, and Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology, "Graduate STEM Education for the 21st Century".

BMP Associate Professor Cynthia Fuhrmann presented, highlighting the curricular adaptations made by the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences to enhance the career development of PhD students. At a time when universities are seeking to expand career development opportunities on their campuses, UMass Medical School has innovated new programs like Career Pathways Communities and directly integrated career development into the standard training of all PhD students.
